Held for the second consecutive year, the Pehesara Art Competition has become a popular event among its employees, as a platform to encourage and inspire creativity of their children, whilst also proving to be an ideal forum for families and employees to engage with one another. This year’s art competition, which coincided with the World Children’s Day celebrations, was held under the Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior categories, and witnessed the submission of more than 240 drawings from children located across the island. Following the shortlisting of 60 entries, a special awards ceremony was held at the LAUGFS Head Office Auditorium, with the presence of LAUGFS group chairman, W. K. H. Wegapitiya and Group Managing Director, Thilak De Silva. The winners were selected by a panel of judges headed by Prof. M.R.
